DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Tuesday, February 23, 2010) - Joe Graziano and Lance Fielitz continue to look at how they can be creative and innovative to attract new and current race fans. As the owners of Dells Raceway Park, an ASA Member Track in Wisconsin Dells, WI, they are going into the 2010 season with some new ideas and updating some current ones.
“We have made some changes to our 2010 lineup,” Graziano said. “Our weekly show will feature late models as our top division. We have migrated our Super Stock division to align with the new ASA Midwest Tour Sportsman Series and I think we will see a great car count from that division. Our Pure Stock and Bandit divisions will be back along with our new Six Shooter division.”
The new Six Shooter division is a new entry class with simple rules, “Knock out the glass, add a few safety items and you are racing!” said Race Director Scott Sauerbrei. “Racing has never been easier or cheaper. We’ll even help racers prepare the safety items and let you store the car at the track to keep costs to a bare minimum.” The new division hopes to capture those who have been interested in racing or some high school teams.
They will also have days dedicated to Karting in 2010 with nine stand alone dates. Graziano said the plans are for the karts to run on the 1/3-mile oval with some possible chicanes to keep the racing safe.
For the fans, they will see a change on admission in 2010 as they lowered the weekly adult admission from $12 to $10. Special events will $15 for adults.
